When that video is played, they will scan for farangs and check them. If hey see farangs not standing up for the anthem, they will walk to them and tell them with a poke, with their flashlight, to stand the fcuck up. These guys can't speak English, so they tell you with aggresive hand gestures. You better stand up, not only the staff, but there might be Thai people who see you disrespecting, will back up the staff and beat your ass up. Source: Seen it before. Conclusion and advice: dumb and disrespectful farangs need to learn to adapt to the culture of the country they are residing in.
