somchaismith
Would like to know where I could purchase a complete, new motorcycle engine in Bangkok. 125cc or above. Would prefer for a pit bike, but for a start, anything will be okay to take a look at. Right now make is not important, as neither is country of origin. ttakata
Out of curiousity, does anyone know if there are shops where wrecked/totaled bikes go in Bangkok? I'm thinking it would be good to look for used parts; maybe swap out a headlight or try different mufflers. Every Songkran I bet 100+ bikes get trashed in Bangkok alone. Trashed bikes never die they just the green book swapped. Plenty of stolen parts around though. Just ask a M/C taxi driver.

Every Songkran I bet 100+ bikes get trashed in Bangkok alone. i used to own a % of motorcycle rental company we never EVER scrapped a bike no matter what the damage was io went with scarpped biked (in the west ) into the dealer we used and he was so greedy even frames that were bent, warped ,mangled were beaten back into shape and sometimes every mechanic in the shop had to help using muscle and ropes etc and everything else was claimed on insurnance and often insurance was charged for parts that were taken off other wreckages so basically the dealrership profited 3+ x times on some items bbut they usually cut us a discount into the scam (since our thai manager knew the situation and had to sign at the bottoim off every motorcycle claims list to verify that the 175|+ parts on the few pages long list were actually damaged and needed replacing lol ) (that sounds like loads but every screw ,nut and bolt has differnt part number so it adds up fast if the crash is a major one and the insurance underwriters get ba kickback im sure because sometimes we added extra items to a crash damage just just to colour code the bike etc and approved that too even though those parts had 0 damage but they were taken off and the dealwr got to keep them for the next "job " )

I emailed lifan for a price list, but no reply, yet. I would be surprised if you got any answer from Lifan Thailand when you send email to an email address at lifanth.com. The lifanth.com website is a fake Lifan website which is not related to Lifan Thailand or Lifan International. The Google advertising on lifanth.com is a give-a-way that it has nothing to do with Lifan, because who puts Google ads (which display competitor advertising) on its company website??? The correct Lifan Thailand website is http://www.lifanthailand.com

ryanwiley
I just bought a new Lifan 250 cc engine. I called the Lifan factory directly. They gave me a number of a retailer. The 200 cc engine is 11,000 baht..250cc 13,000. I bought the bigger one, and for 1000 baht I bought some extras....new power supply, etc. but, I didn't buy it from the dealer I talked to. Instead, I talked to this guy... https://www.facebook.com/lifancross200thailand He is in Bangkok and sells every Lifan! Same price quotes as other shops, plus a very helpful guy. If you want info about a Lifan engine, just send him a message on that Facebook page. Best of luck! Ryan
