Seemed stronger than the one about four years ago. Maybe the one in Tokyo this morning sparked it off. chiang mai Posted May 5, 2014 Share Posted May 5, 2014 I'm on the 12th floor and it scared the sh*t out of us, it lasted for at least a minute and the sway/noise was amazing (and I've experienced tremors in southern calif before). 5.8 according to the news, it emptied the entire building of Japanese (there's loads) but very few other nationalities, odd really because it was very severe.
