........... The next 30 were ridiculously mundane.

Don't tell me you were expecting some heavenly or spiritual comments? ;-)

Don't tell us, you're on TV to find heavenly enlightenment? ;-)

Off course, the comments on TV might not always be to every ones liking

and of course they mostly pretty mundane - from this earth.

Although, occasionally some comments seam to be from aliens from outer space ;-) .

Very astute of you...I was worried most readers would have thought I meant the more common place definition of, "lacking interest or excitement; dull."

But great minds really do think alike and you, too, recognized a complete absence of the celestial magnificence we have come to expect here on TV.

mistrust farang with buddhist amulets...

Aren't those often amulets honoring a past King? King Rama V being quite popular?

Thanks

nah they are often a way to upgrade farang thainess and to show locals "u have been around"....

however:

1. farang no understand thai buddhism (even thai no understand most of it)

2. farang with amulets often think they will impress locals (read: local police)

3. the die-hard wannabees add a tattoo (cheesy.gif )

Small correction: "He also had a small aerial photography business."

This is inaccurate. The aerial photography business in Khao Lak is owned by another German, also called Franky - Franky Gunn.

Sorry about that.

"Franky Gunn" Interesting Pseudo name like Franky Knuckles or Chop Suey Loui..

And their latest appointed Chief of Police came out publicly and declared that "The Phuket Police are doing a very good job" ....I guess he was referring to the banking branch of the Phuket Police. thumbsup.gif

Just a quick tip for anyone trying to hide in Thailand.

Put one address on your visa application,

put an other address on your arrival card,

wear a t-shirt with the address of the closest police station

and the BiB will be searching for you for the next 21 years.

Although beware, the Army might declare a state of emergency,

state a coup d'etat or even start a war in order to find you.

Thanks for that. Extremely good advice. thumbsup.gif
