lomatopo
Thai army delegation visits China (Reuters) - A delegation of Thai military commanders travelled to China on Wednesday for talks on regional security and joint training exercises amid Western unease over the Thai army's seizure of power in a coup last month. General Surasak Kanjanarat, deputy permanent secretary for defence, said the meeting was aimed at mapping out "future plans of action" with the Chinese army, one of its oldest regional allies. He did not elaborate on the plans. The bid by Thailand's military rulers to strengthen ties with China comes after Western powers, including old ally the United States, criticised the May 22 coup. The junta has said it has China's support. http://in.reuters.com/article/2014/06/11/thailand-politics-china-idINKBN0EM0EC20140611
tomyummer
Everyone knows about these 'end of the year' trips by government officials. It's the best way agencies spend off unused approved budget baht. And if that isn't enough, the higher dignitaries have access to TAT funds to roll out the red carpet.
pahang
Suwichak Nakwatcharachai said the planning and approval of the excursions were transparent and the expenses were reasonable. That rang up a NO SALE in believability. Anyway, bye-bye Suwichak http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/733065-junta-head-to-hold-politicians-responsible-for-their-past-wrongful-management-of-the-country/page-10#entry7960403

leggo
I regularly bunk with these guys in the dorms of various hostels here and there. They are nice enough to share their whiskey too. Enough of this bad mouthing. Long may the junta rule (off topic: Would UK and Aussie news readers PLEASE learn how to pronounce "junta"? ). Gunta, Yunta, Gerunta,Younta, I'm from Zimbabwe where this word is illegal!
