PATTAYA: -- On Wednesday Afternoon a team from the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) Region 5 along with the Royal Thai Navy and Pattaya Police conducted raids on 4 foreign-language Pattaya radio stations and found irregularities at 3 of them.

The offices of 3 radio stations, broadcasting on FM frequencies, 105Mhz, 96Mhz and 89.50Mhz were checked and each of the stations were found to be broadcasting in contravention of National Council for Peace and Reconciliation (NCPO) bulletin numbers 32/2557 and 66/2557.

The first order prohibited the broadcast of all community and commercial radio stations and the second order dated 14th June 2014 permitted stations to broadcast as long as they complied with NBTC regulations.
