ExpatJ
I used Uber taxi app for first time today but app did not recognize my location and sent car about 1 km away to another Street and then there is no option on the app to reset your location as far as I can see. Is this other people's experience? Is there any way to change your location in app? Ps grabtaxi app works very well and easy to use (more options) but you need to order at least 2 hours in advance whereas Uber you can order just before your trip. coppywriter
With Grabtaxi you do not need to book 2 hours in advance you can just book and if one is available they will send it. The booking in advance is just a time limit in case you want to book in advance. Alternatively if you dont want to use the app then you can just call them, they speak very good english. Popular Post ExpatJ
Uber not work in Thailand well.. Why you need a taxi app , in Bangkok, when you only must walk to the street , hold your hands out and wait 5 secounds!? Why? 1) When i need to order taxi for a 4-5 am trip to airport (monthly for me in my work) 2) when its raining at rush hour and there are no taxis available 3) when you are in out of the way location in suburbs and no taxis around. Not every one is here for a two week holiday along sukhumvit.... Been using both uber and grabtaxi last couple of weeks now- Uber pros - nicer cars - uses credit card that you register on the app- so no need to give cash or credit card to driver Uber cons - its location finding is not good at least when i have used the driver comes to @ 1 km of where I am and then I end up on the phone with him giving him exact location which is a huge pain. Grabtaxi pros - good location finding- driver comes right to where i am NB- no need for 2 hours ordering in advance for grabtaxi as i mentioned in my first post- you can order for immediate service., Overall- both great apps/services and i can see myself using them alot. raro
When I go to Bangkok, I usually zig zag through town. Would it be possible to take passengers with me? How to become a driver for uber? Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
