Thai Marriage visa in Scotland?

Recommended Posts

I've been effectively living in Thailand on Visa exemptions for the last 4 years working month on/month off on the rigs.

I married 2 years ago and we have a son in Thailand.

I have no savings but can show my earnings every month.

We are going to go to the UK for a holiday next month and wondered if the Thai embassy in Glasgow issues marriage visa's and what documents are required?

I have marriage certificate

Birth certificate for our son

Photos in front of the house in Thailand

Rental agreement

Passport scans every page (mine and my wifes)

Is there anything else I need to take along.

Thank you for any help

They may do it for you . But you marriage certificate will need to be translated to English according to a recent post.

You will not need the photos or proof of residence in Thailand that is only needed tor an extension of stay you apply for at immigration here.

If you have income of 40k baht that you can prove by way of a income letter from the UK embassy in Bangkok you could apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage.

From reports for the other consulates it only takes 3 or 4 days to get the approval from London.

For those that are here already you can get a multiple entry non-o based on marriage in Savannakhet Laos. At this time it is same day service there.
