goski
Have you actually asked around in the market? It´s very strange that they don´t have it. Cumin is called "Yee raa" in Thai by the way. I´m sure it exists in other shops than just NFP.

Limbo
Thanks to everyone , again. I found it at market up near Ruenthip Hotel. Thanks for mentioning it! I just thought about it this afternoon when I passed the crossing Mae Korn. This is the big crossing of the superhighway and the Paholyothin Road coming from town. Opposite the road to Toeng. Esso gasoline station etc etc, from Big C about one kilometer to the south. At the southern (and town-)side of this crossing, between the PTT gasoline station and the police-box you will find a shop which is selling all kind of kitchen utensils. They also have an enormeous assortiment of spices. They mainly deliver to restaurants. The shop is located in a row of shophouses about twenty meter from the road. Might be an idea to have a look there if you like cooking. Limbo
