DSI urged to act against foreign scammers who prey on Thai women

BANGKOK: -- Three women Friday officially called on the Department of Special Investigation to take action against predators who prey on Thai women via social media.

Ranyaporn Wichienchotewat, the founder of the Thai Anti Scam community Facebook page, said victims who had come to her had lost tens of thousand of baht each. One was duped out of Bt6 million.

Ranyaporn created the community page to warn Thai women about the risks of running into scammers on social media or dating websites.

She was once lured into transferring Bt20,000 to a foreign man after chatting to him online for about a month.

Is this some kind of parallel world or what? Is this page satire?

Pretty sure it`s the other way round 99.9% of the time!

'satire' no. 'clickbait' yes. Wasn't this, er, topic, being promulgated not a month since? coffee1.gif

At least those farrangs getting some sucker action are getting something back for their outlay. It`s the farrangs who pay and don`t even get as much as a cuddle I worry about. tongue.png

At times I wonder about the adds I automatically get displayed whenever I logon into TVF.

BTW there seems to be a difference in adds using the Internet connection in the office (American Company) and now at home trueWIFI.
