pomozki
I know this forum is beholden to a certain Thai company but I'd like to know if anyone has personal experience of any other Thai lawyer I can trust to draw up a last will and testament for me. It would also be useful to compare prices, thanks

Langsuan Man
If you do use a lawyer to draw up a will for you, make sure YOU register it with the local amphur. Cost is minimal and once they have taken both the English and Thai originals they seal it in an envelope, witnessed by several employees and enter it into a registration book and issue you a receipt. Remember it must be both in English and Thai but the Thai version is the only one legally accepted by the probate court That way nothing can be changed by the lawyer who notarized and kept if for "safe keeping" . They don't like for you to do it that way and that in itself is the best reason to do it via the Amphur Most Thais distrust lawyers almost as much as they distrust the police
