webfact Posted January 9, 2015 Share Posted January 9, 2015 Thai student wins Harbin Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival contest 2015By Digital ContentBANGKOK, Jan 9 -- A Thai vocational student won first prize at the the Harbin Ice and Sculpture competition held in Harbin, China, the sixth consecutive year that Thailand has won first prize.Vocational Education Commission Deputy Secretary-General Aganit Klungsang reported that 69 teams participated in the Harbin Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival 2015 in Harbin.Each team was tasked to create an ice sculpture within four days in temperatures as low as -27 to no more than -21 degrees Celsius said the official, adding that Thailand's team of students from the Saraburi Vocational College seized first prize for their masterpiece called "High Speed Train Building Stronger Relationship toward the Future", which represented Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations for the past four decades.Two other ice sculptures from the Surat Thani and Saowapa vocational college student teams netted second prizes for their works.Thailand has sent teams to the festival since 2010, making this the sixth year in a row that the nation has won first prize. Boycot this shameless place at all cost! And spare me the 'but Thais earn less than you bogus', cause there are a l8t of wealthy Thais as well.
