Help - Big construction in Kog Phangan

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I was in Koh Phangan last year and i saw a huge construction there on the road... I asked to the guys who was working on the construction but some said it was going to be a resort, others a SPA and i didnt found anything on the internet about it later... Im really curious about how it looks like today and what is this... I just found some pictures of the construction... Does anybody knows more informations about it? I think it is at the Sunset Beach.

It's a 5 Star resort and has a spa of course, located between the sea and the hilly road to Had Rin facing South.

That doesn't look too bad at all.

Not for the back packer crowd! whistling.gif

I realize now where it is, it been under construction for years... it's at least two if not three years since I saw it...wink.png

Happen by this project yesterday... it's far from being complete... probably several more years! Being Sunday, there were only a few workers around.... but it's a huge undertaking...and should look very impressive when complete...

Yes did a bit of walking around, not easy parking there though!... especially on that road! facepalm.gif People were working way down below the top area...

It was hard to get many other pictures because of Bamboo and trees!

This kind of construction, would be long and very precise work... not to mention a ton of money! smile.png

Let's hope it does not turn into another abandoned work in progress whistling.gif

Bloomin heck what an ugly building. I guess that I will stick to my favourite place on KPN.

Good photos though Jimmy. Thanks.

Perhaps when it does get finished... it might look better than it does now...(?) it's certainly on a steep slope .... and with all the bamboo arches, a haven for mosquitoes bah.gif

We do agree on the "other place" on the NW end of the island is a much nicer location! thumbsup.gifI posted a pic of that area, in Photos section!wink.png

Actually would look nice when abandoned.
