Featured Replies

Please add the Thai writing for each one, next to them.

These can then be copied, pasted, and printed, as people need.

Then it can be stickied as a Thai Language Service database for motorcycle riders to copy and paste which ever ones they need, when they need them, or can be printed out in full and kept under one's seat etc.

No need for comments, only the Thai writing of each.

Do feel free to add more.

Thanks.

nice and support that.

but have a smartphone with lots of Thai - English - Thai applications.

Or can open Longdo Thai dictionary can get any of the words above in Thai.

of course provided that you have 3G connection or a smartphone which most have both now.

if you dont, it is a good idea to copy paste these words in Thai from dictionaries, print it once and out it in your bike.

Good.

Google translate and Thai language apps are often incorrect, or not perfectly correct when it comes to technical terms.

For example Brake Rotor/Brake Disc.

I'm not saying that ใบพัด or จาน isn't what Thais refer to the rotor/disc as, but to have them confirmed by a fully bilingual would be good. The less confusion on the Thai mechanics part the better. :D

As a sidenote: I do not take any responsibilty over my previous post ;-)

So if you bring your bike in, show one off those translations and have your whole engine taken apart:

perhaps Romanize each one and I can learn more Thai ... lol...

did you try Longdo online dictionary?

i dont think so it is or others are incorrect but maybe not super technical. plus how do you know if they are incorrect or not provided that cannot read Thai?

besides, if it is a good mechanic, you dont do much talk fortunately. and if confusion over brake rotor whatever, just point them. they understand of course!

found this: http://www.tumcivil.com/dic/

a Thai engineering dictionary.
