Security system using Android phones + PC , what do you think ?

I found this the other day , it uses some cheap Android phones and your home PC

you can use the phones with a data plan to send you a photo on your phone or have your home computer send you an email etc

But anyway is there a better way to do this , something you might add ? a better camera App ?

I bought a few of those phones at the grocery store for only $10 each and was amazed how well they worked .

worst thing is the phone cameras are for daytime only or in a lighted area

You're presumably talking about photographing a burglar who breaks into your appartment, or house and have the software email images of what's happening to you I guess. Google can help you there: https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?complete=0&hl=en/search?q=#complete=0&q=webcams+which+can+email+images

Good quality IP cameras that do movement detection, streaming over the internet, email snapshots/videos on demand/alarm, local SD card recording, support for recoding to NAS using ONVIF, IR illumination for night visibility, and weatherproofing are very cheap - like $40 cheap.

No phone I've seen has a wide enough field of view to be a useful substitute.

Most of these new security products are more of a pain in the a** than they do good!

Be sure to wear your tin foil hat! You might need the extra protection too!
