jay1980
I upgraded my Motorola moto G2 to Lollipop the other day and it trashed the micro SD card. Not only wiped it but cannot even reformat it now. I did back up the phone and card prior to upgrading so no problem except had to buy a new card. Wish I had removed the card prior to stating the upgrade process though. just a heads up cheers
Bangkok Hound
I haven't heard of this problem related to the Lollipop update. It certainly wasn't a problem when I updated my M8. Was your card a SanDisk Ultra by any chance?

jay1980
I did try reformating the trashed card on my windows 7 machine and also my samung galaxy tab which is still on ICS but no luck. Another SD card worked fine Not to worried as it is a nice excuse to buy a 32GB card cheers
dddave
I upgraded a 1st gen. Moto G to Lollypop with no issues. The 32gb SD was inserted at the time.
tw25rw
Some people find that if they can mount the sd in other devices, then back up/format/restore it, it then works. I just found a similar issue on my LG G3 so will try tonight. Would hate to lose all the videos of the girlfriends cat.
