This uncle has Alzheimer's, and his wife and kid took him to the shop,” Jikky Peace wrote on Facebook. “He was so cute. I joked with him the whole time. His family said they want him to have the tattoo because they don't ever want him to disappear. I was tattooing and tearing up!”Full story: http://bangkok.coconuts.co//2015/03/11/khaosan-tattoo-artist-cries-over-familys-request-70-year-old-dad-- Coconuts Bangkok 2015-03-11
Popular Post Costas2008
If I ever get Alzheimer’s or any other fatal disease, I would prefer my family to take me to a euthanasia clinic and not to a tattoo artist.

Popular Post siampolee
Nowt wrong with the action. In my view it shows that his family have great love for the afflicted person . The old fellow it seems is hale and hearty physically so why should he be euthanized as some posters suggest? I can recal from my youth an old lady (Miss Whitmee) who lived in our village who wandered off regular and was often trying to give away her family silver too. In those days (1960 ish) there was a community spirit and the poor old dear had no-one left hence all the locals looked after her.arranged a live in companion for her and Miss Whitmee lived in her own little world happily for some 10 years before death arrived. Nothing but respect for the actions of this mans family here in Thailand.

Popular Post skildpadden
Good idea. Apart from implanting a transmitting device this is probably the best way to do it, in order to prevent him from wandering off and potentially disappearing. In other countries it is a problem for people with Alzheimer wandering off - and sometimes getting into accidents, being found dead in the woods or drowned in the ocean. You cannot really lock them up because that violates their basic rights, so it is a problem how to avoid them harming themselves. At least this family cares and comes up with a solution to try to avoid a potential tragedy.

Always made it back to his house that he had lived in for 50+ years. The house was rented by a rock and roll group. They knew the deal and would ring me. Dad was a classical music lover and would tell the boys that their music was a bit rough and then take over the keyboard and treat them to some Moonlight Sonata. He may have been vague about what day or year it was, but, the music was firmly in his head. I think he liked chugging on their supply of wobbly weed. Haha. He always said, "Those chaps make a lovely cup of tea." Edited March 11, 2015 by joboss

Easy said, but not easy done, the problem is, we cannot real choose in advance. If, then I would prefare to die in a battle while still standing with the sword in the hand. The old viking mythology says, then you will go direct to valhall, but there is nothing written about 92 virgins or so, unfortunately.

As long as no one would miss you, i suppose that would be fine! either way is fine whether somebody misses you or not...it's a personal decision. A person will most likely be missed no matter how they die. We all will die someday. To force someone to be a zombie just because you'd miss them is simply cruel. Sorry, but western Christian tradition demands a long slow painful undignified death wherever possible ,with poverty thrown in for good measure if it can be arranged.. Something about the sanctity of life above all ....
