I have a litre of water based emulsion paint which I had intended to bring to LOS in my hand baggage.

With the new rules this will not be possible, I could try but they may make me drink some of it to prove it is non explosive

My question is if I put it in hold luggage what will happen, I ask this because I recall from about 20 years ago having a conversation with a guy in Lanzarote whose case was splattered with red paint from a can that had exploded in the hold.

Can anyone confirm that cargo holds in B777-300 are pressurised and also heated as I think low temperature could also be a problem.

Mind you a suitcase with a paint job that looked as thought it was done by Andy Warhol could be quite a conversation piece

It is pressurized .... wrap in a towel and then tape it up in plastic .... but be prepared for questions when you are screened!
