milkycheese
Hi TV PPL, I was sent something in the post from UK to Thailand valued at 20 GBP. The postal guy arrives at my home with parcel and states I must pay 1300THB on this incoming post, more than the cost of the item! How can they work this out? Totally digraceful ... who decides on this, any legislation?
Crossy
Thai customs will determine the duty payable, regular post doesn't actually attract duty often with 99.9% of parcels just arriving, possibly with a small service charge (a few Baht) but you're obviously the 0.1%. What is the item, was it correctly declared on the customs label? You can of course query the charge.

CharlieH
Value of item + postage cost × 20% import duty + vat Thats an average guide, will vary dependant on item and mood of person involved.
