webfact Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 Two Ukrainian men arrested for using fake ATM cardsThe NationBANGKOK: -- Two Ukrainian men have been arrested for allegedly using fake ATM cards to draw cash from ATM machines in Bangkok.The arrest of Dmytro Bondar, 32 and Oleksandr Korchemnyiz, 38 was announced at the Metropolitan Police Bureau Thursday afternoon.Thonglor police station chief Pol Col Kachornpong Jitphakphume said police seized 172 fake ATM cards from the two suspects.He said 47 cards were found on the suspects when they were arrested at 11:45 pm Tuesday and the rest were found in their rented room in Din Daeng district.The two were spotted by patrol police withdrawing money from a Siam Commercial Bank ATM machine between Soi Sukhumvit 45 and 47. gk10002000 Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 If the media or police would follow up and post information about where these guys got the cards from, who and how they sent money back, etc. it would help stop it more in the future. Otherwise as usual, these two muppets are the only ones that get in trouble, but the big fishes get away.
