6 arrested in Foreign Exchange Agent assault and robbery in North Pattaya



PATTAYA; -- Pattaya Police conducted a reconstruction on Wednesday afternoon of an assault and robbery of a Foreign Exchange Agent who lost 600,000 Baht to a 6-man gang who have since been arrested.

The initial incident occurred on 25th July in front of the Wiraya-Apa Apartments on 3rd Road in North Pattaya and saw 600,000 Baht in cash stolen from Khun Sitichork aged 57. This is the second time in 2 years he has been the subject of an assault and robbery and in 2013 he lost 1 Million Baht.

The head of the gang who are accused of committing the crime is Khun Ratapon aged 43. He confessed to following the target for some time so he could determine the best time and location to attack and rob him, to ensure he was carrying the maximum amount of money possible.
