digbeth
Over the years, restaurants thread on the Pattaya forum seem to have developed a theme for what's notable and deserving of custom.... Indian, 'Proper' Chinese and other unique cuisine at the neglect of the ordinary and humdrum. So, here's a thread about the restaurants you wouldn't write home about, yet you do give them repeat customs.... Maybe it's Thai food, the local noodle joint, chicken rice or 'thai' Chinese like Lengkee and such... so that although the restaurant may not deserve a trip to visit on its own, but if a fellow member is in the area should they be in the area on errands and such.... they could drop in for a meal. I'll start with 'Nai Din' Sam Yan style fish balls/dumpling noodle soup On northbound Sukhumvit opposite the Highway Police between Central and South rd. Just after the corner Soi Sukhumvit Pattaya 46 Teochew/Thai noodle with fish balls, fish dumpling and fish noodles, along with the standard fare various rice noodles in clear soups with options of Tom Yum and Yen Ta Four soup. The fish noodle/dumpling/balls are home made (the skin of the dumpling / noodle are made with the same 'surimi' fish meat as the fish ball) Also available is Geom Ee+ (thick, short noodle like the one pictured) which are increasing rare find in noodle shops these days The restaurant noodle shop opens late, and is advisable to visit them in the evening, the shophouse nextdoor is doing some fiberglass/resin business and smells very noxious during the day Noodle shop with this type of noodles/cuisine maybe a dime a dozen in Thailand, but this one is made with care
prk888
the Thai open-air restaurant opposite FORD on west-side Suk on the racetrack (U-Turns thread) Can't pronounce the name but Thai wife, family and many friends recommend & enjoy most dishes. I especially like the spicy squid but there's never anything left whatever they order

Gonsalviz
Any Thai food restaurant that caters to falang. I like the real thing, not the sugary stuff.
