Murder investigation launched
‘No link to terrorism’ – police
Inquiry focusing on organised crime

BERLIN: -- Police in Berlin have reportedly launched a murder inquiry after an explosion destroyed a car travelling through the city centre.

Officials say the vehicle was being driven by a 43-year-old man of immigrant background who died at the scene.

The blast is being linked to organised crime.

Investigators say there is no evidence of any connection to terrorism.

The Volkswagen Passat was on Bismarckstrasse in Berlin’s western district of Charlottenburg during the rush hour when the explosion happened.

Eyewitnesses say the force of the blast flipped the vehicle onto its roof.

Detectives do not know if the dead man was the intended target.

Nope, for once she's not to blame. Rather this was Helmut Kohl's doing in the mid-early eighties; well, or some splendid UNHCR idea back then.

If you read "organized crime" and "Berlin" (or Bremen) in one sentence, think Mhallamhi-Kurds. That is a small ethnic group of Arab-speaking Kurds who first fled from Turkey to Lebanon because nobody liked them, then during the Lebanese civil war (the Palestinian asylum seekers there were so grateful they banded up with fellow Muslims and tried taking over), they saw their chance getting to Europe, mostly Germany. History does repeat itself. Since then they have been living mostly in some 8 "great families" (vulgo:tribes) with around 12.000 members, the males virtually without exception working up rap sheets the size of phone-books, mostly round Bremen and Berlin. Can't chuck them out, they're stateless or claim to be. And Lebanon just won't take its criminals back, I suppose we need to accept it's a cultural thing about not seeing the added value of hardened serial criminals for their society.

By way of disclaimer: I don't know any more than you do, there is nothing new in the German press on this, but I am betting the farm those guy are involved in this on one side or the other.

And yes, there is some sort of Russian mafia in Germany, Italian mafia are using Germany for laying low, there are Albanian, Turkish, and whatever else gangs, and the native German population is certainly not lacking its own criminals. It's just what I, being German, thought the moment I read about this.

The problems with other places in the world where car bombs and murder and mayhem are routine is not the sand, the heat, the history, the palm trees, the call to prayer, the poverty, the latitude, the longitude... the problem is the people!

You can take the people from such places and insert them onto Alpine slopes, tropical beaches, Fifth Avenue, Sheikh Zayed Road, Berlin, upscale cities, poor farms... anywhere in the West... and car bombs and murder and mayhem will be routine there as well.

This is the poison pill of multiculturalism and the socialist lie about First Amendment-type Freedom of Association- there is none! The West is forced to contort into Associations that without social engineering, they would not. Contrived human engineering will always fail.

According to Germany's leading tabloid the victim was a 43-y-o Turkish guy named "Mesut T." . Had been known to police, but oddly no criminal record; but then it wasn't his own car that was blown up.
