2nd Army Area introduces campaign to promote understanding of draft charter

BANGKOK, 20 April 2016 (NNT) - The Second Army Area has introduced a campaign to promote a correct understanding of the new draft Constitution in the Northeast.

The activity, which took place at Ubon Ratchathani University, saw the participation of some 5,000 people, who are chiefs of provincial government offices and executives of local educational institutions as well as members of local administrative organizations.

The speaker from the Ubon Ratchathani Election Commission also offered a summary of important parts of the draft charter, with the intention of helping all present better understand the draft, while explaining the right process to cast their votes at the public referendum.

Participants at the meeting are expected to help disseminate the information to people around them so that the public referendum process can take place without a hitch.

The same activity will soon be held in other provinces.
