french policing of the euros

Having seen enough footage now of police brutality, thuggery, their inability to properly segregate, their tear gassing of innocent fans, women and children included its about time Uefa took their finger out of their arse and came to the obvious conclusion that the French football federation, their law enforcement included are totally and utterly incapable of being given the responsibility to hold another major tournament.

rant over.

The French Police has a long history with excessive brutality.

They are useless, as all forces in France have been since the Romans crushed the Gauls.

But they are absolutely top notch against students and families who happen to be in wrong place.

This we have a long history with proof.

Seems quite possible that England will have been banned from the tournament before another ball is kicked by the team.

Live reporting on Sky at 11:00 pm Thai time from a confrontation between English and Welsh fans. May hopefully be insufficient by itself but it looked like the sort of stuff that sets off other stuff.

Cretins - football is unfortunately supported by too many clannish idiots and juvenile numpties, unlike rugby which is supported by adults.

I still have doubts that UEFA will send any team home.

The lawyers are already going through the laws, waiting for fans, hotels, big and small businesses, etc, to claim money back from whomever decides that a few can ruin it for so many.

There is no such thing as a sports governing body with any guts, as the vast majority are corrupt, and base their decisions upon whomever apply the hardest economically pressure.

In the meantime the utterly useless French Policemen are exchanging war stories at the stations, about how they gassed women and kids.
