I have to go to Kuala Lumper to obtain a Non Immigrant O Visa as I am married to a Thai, a friend wants to come along to get a tourist visa, he has been living in Thailand for most of the last five years and like most of us his pasport is full of re-entry stamps and he has had 3 previous Non Immigrant O Visas, does anybody know if he will have a problem getting a tourist visa and what Tourist visa he can obtain, he will have used up his three 30 day re- entry stamps and is worried that if he is turned down he would not be able to fly back to Thailand.

The limit is 90 days after October 1, not three entries, so he should not have any problem on that account. I suspect he may not be successful in a two entry tourist visa but he could/should try for that and be happy if he gets a single entry.

As I understood it the three trips he will have gone on to the border by then is the 90 days and that unless he can get any kind of Visa he can not re-enter on a 30 on arrival stamp for at least six months, as for the tourist Visas you mention with extensions how long could he stay in Thailand for.

Well it is now mid November so you must be talking about a trip next year if he will have been in Thailand for 90 days since October 1. That was not clear from your post.

In any case don't see that he has a choice. He is going to require a visa.
