dddave
B1000 to B1500...Better chance with a taxi dropping off at departures rather than one you are assigned to at arrivals. Don't ask "How much to Pattaya?", ask instead "Pattaya?? 1000??, Work from there. Also settle if tolls are included. (about B150) Don't enter any taxi until you have settled on the price when negotiating long distance flat rates. Once your bags are in the trunk, your negotiating power dwindles. If you want to save yourself hassle, pre arrange pick up by one of the many services operating out of Pattaya such as the well regarded "Mr. T's" They frequently have cars dropping passengers off and will negotiate a decent return fare Google "Mr t's" Pattaya...lots of info. dddave
why not take the bus, it only costs about 150 baht Maybe the OP's arrival time does not fit with the bus schedule or perhaps he doesn't like buses and the hassle getting from the bus station to his hotel, sitting in a van for up to 2 hours while it sits in Pattaya's horrendous traffic and drops off 8 other passengers before him. andre47
I never pay more than 1000 Baht including toll. I take a taxi at the departure level. You must negotiate the fare before entering the cab.
malt25
why not take the bus, it only costs about 150 baht Yeah, right. After a long haul flight, immigration queues & you suggest a bus ??? Why not suggest walking or hitchhiking ? That'd be even cheaper.
