webfact Posted July 13, 2016 Share Posted July 13, 2016 Thai man arrested in Pattaya after stealing baby formula "to order"Image: Daily NewsPATTAYA: -- Police have arrested a man who was part of a gang stealing baby milk formula to order.Ruchuphat Phonbun, 26, was arrested at the resort along with a Bangkok registered Isuzu pick-up truck, reported Daily News. A warrant was out for his arrest after he and three others were caught on CCTV loading milk formula on the vehicle at Lan Thong Plaza in Lampang, northern Thailand on July 5th.He was taken back to Lampang and paraded for the press at the police station there yesterday.He admitted that he had been paid 5,000 baht a day by a man called Sasiphon Phu-Em to use his vehicle to steal goods from stores - and baby formula was the usual desired item. He had been doing it for two years saying he needed money to pay off a hire purchase agreement.He also named two others as well as Sasiphon who were all caught on the CCTV - they are Taweesak Masut and Winai Sombatwong.
