UK male with male Thai patner for 13 years - any visa options other than retirement?

unfortunately you are on your own when it come to thai visas. The rules here do not recognise relationships of a de-facto nature.

If you are of the retirement age, then I'd go for that.

This may be waaaay out in left field, but could he "adopt" his Thai partner and qualify for a visa on basis of being a "parent" of a Thai?

Granted, if the OP is 50+ and can meet the financial requirements, I think the retirement visa/extension would be the easiest and cleanest way to go.

I don't think adoption is an easy process at all but could be a solution if retirement age is far away

I am in the same boat . I have had offers from Thai girls to marry me. Bf is willing to hire me as staff but I thought you had to have 2 Thai to ever 1 farang in a company?.

You could marry your Thai partner in one of the countries that permit such marriages,

then apply to Thai Immigration on the basis of the marriage.

I doubt that the Thai immigration laws actually state that a married couple must be of different sexes. :o

I am not sure you would be successful, but it would give the immigration officers something to think about.
