webfact
Alleged Japanese fraudster repatriated Image: Daily News BANGKOK: -- Another high profile international fugitive has been returned to authorities in his home country to face charges. Yusuo Tsubaki managed to hide in Thailand for four years despite being wanted by the Japanese authorities in connection with stock market fraud totaling 12 billion yen or 4 billion baht, reported Daily News. He was returned to the custody of Japanese police at Suvarnabhumi Airport yesterday evening and put on a Japan Airlines plane to Tokyo. He had entered Thailand four years ago as a tourist - he did not need a visa and was admitted for 30 days. Thai police said he had then used various methods to extend his stay continually. The Thai immigration authorities had no idea at the time that he was a wanted fugitive. That all changed recently when the Japanese learnt he was probably hiding in Thailand and asked the Thais for help. He had his right to stay removed. Immigration police said that this was a high profile and important case. They are continuing to tighten procedures and say that they are rooting out up to 10,000 illegal immigrants per month. Nominees are being repatriated regularly as they have a detrimental effect on the Thai economy. Mickmouse1
Deported n his money Confiscated but not repatriated with him of course. I am sure he was extending his visa all this time paying handsomely only the JP interpol warrant had compelled the Thai to act.
