Lawsuit looms over airport strike

BANGKOK: -- Sirote Duangratana, director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, said the Airports of Thailand (AOT), which operates Bangkok’s main airport, is considering filing a lawsuit against Asia Security Management Co (ASM) and claiming compensation over disruption caused by a labour strike.

 

AOT said that 300 luggage-handling workers at ASM, a subsidiary of Loxley Plc, have been out on strike for several days, causing huge financial losses as well as inconveniencing passengers.

 

AOT can claim compensation based on damage incurred by the hour, as the airport operates around the clock.

I can just imagine how much money these workers are being paid working for a contractor who contracts to another contractor who bids on the job. Everybody along the "contractor" chain is getting a cut except the workers. Lower class slavery or middle class on the human chain of misery.
