Phahonyothin road partially closed at 10 pm Friday night

Two out-bound Phahonyothin traffic lanes at Lat Phrao intersection will be closed to traffic at 10 pm Friday night as construction of the Green Line electric train system will commence, the Metropolitan Rapid Transit Authority announced.

PHUKET:-- A Russian tourist, hell-bent on snorkeling despite warnings, was rescued and brought to shore this morning after being lost at sea for at least ten hours off Koh Racha Noi.

PHUKET:-- Police are investigating the death of a Malaysian tourist whose body was found in a Patong hotel room yesterday afternoon. Officials believe over-consumption of alcohol may have been a contributing factor in his death.

23 Year Old Russian Girl Missing from Koh Tao

A 23 year old Russian girl has gone missing from Koh Tao. Valentina Novozhyonova was staying at the Koh Tao Hostel. It is believed she was planning to leave Koh Tao and go to Koh Samui, she has not been seen or heard from since February 15th. Reports on a Facebook appeal say that the local police found her belongings in her room, they have now taken her phone and passport.
