Get them to send money in sterling from U.K. Bank to Thai bank
The fee is £4 and all the rate differences on such a small amount are negligible

Transferwise.....better than bank rate and 1st transfer is free. Mine took 2 days to arrive in my Thai account.

I looked at it and it shows 20GBP fee on main page. Without logging in.

Yep after questioning kasikorn they told me they charge a certain percentage for incoming foreign transactions, mine was a 10,000 GBP Transaction.

Below is reply I got from well worded email to hi-fx

I understand that you have been charged £25 by either the recipient bank or intermediary bank.

With regards to the questions you have asked, the payment was sent via SWIFT, which is how banks make international payments outside the EU.

We cannot comment as to why you were not charged using Transferwise as their business model could be different to ours.

With regards to charges on our website, they are under the FAQ’s.

On this occasion, we will reimburse £25 charge applied as a gesture of goodwill and in full and final settlement of this issue. To enable us to make this payment to you, please follow the steps below:

I've used xendpay for well over a year never had problems and it gives the best rates that track 0.2 or there about a below standard exchange rate.

Xendpay is the way!
