patrickl
One of the documents required to submit is "education certificates / degrees". I never finished high school but I've successfully ran several companies in the past and am now planning on opening a new one in Thailand where at least 10 Thais will be hired full time (real employees, not just for me to get a work permit). Is it possible to get a work permit in Thailand without having a high school degree?
Briggsy
"No" is the short answer. However, you need to satisfy the criteria laid down by the Labour Department for the role in which you are applying for a Work Permit.
ubonjoe
This form" Education and job experience certification form" can be submitted instead of degrees and education certificates as mentioned on the WP1 form here "4. Copy of the applicant’s education certificate or the determination form duly filled out". http://doe.go.th/prd/assets/upload/files/alien_en/bc8afbeb7da6cb4a20b059dceec95d9e.pdf

A degree is only necessary if required by the employer as a prerequisite for the job.
