Thailand Elite Card/Visa: How long does it take?

Featured Replies

Hello all,

Finally, I decided to apply for Thailand Elite Card (The 500K THB for 5 years option).

Applied on the 27th of March. Got an acknowledgement of the documents received on the 28th of March. Was told that it will be take around 5 working days for the immigration to review my passport. Today is April 5th. Have not got any info/reply from Thailand Elite till now. Two follow up emails (to their sales office) also went unanswered.

From whatever info I got about Thailand Elite on Thai Visa & elsewhere, I was under the impression that the entire application process is fairly quick. I am wondering if there have been any holidays during the past week (which I am not aware of).

Thanks in advance.

I wonder if they meant 5 working days. If immigration got the application on the 29th today is only the 6th working day. It may be Friday at the earliest since tomorrow is a holiday.

It takes about a week from memory, you should be hearing from them pretty soon.

The next step is payment...

Do you have to physically give them your passport upon application?

No, you don't - you just email scans along with scans of the application forms. This is how I did it anyway.

They only need the physical passport for visa insertion.

It takes around a week - sometimes an extra day or 2. Mine took 7 days.

I assumed as much. Just checking. Thanks.

Hi

I'm considering  the elite visa  do you still have go to immagration every 90 days to pay your 1900 b or just your 90 day report also who do you apply thru there website??  and do you guys think its worth it ??

I have researched but the website is a little vague

Thx  Rick

You need to do an address report (free) every 90 days that you are staying in Thailand.

There is no 1900 baht every 90 days thing with this option.

The PE visa you get allows unlimited one year entries for 5 years from the date of issue. If you don't leave the country for a year you can apply for a one year extension at immigration. You only need to do 90 day reports to immigration.

You do the application by email after downloading the application. See: http://www.thailandelite.com/job.php

You can do 90-day report at immigration, or better yet go to the TE office on Sathorn, or have your passport delivered there. Fortunately the TE office (actually a large house) is a short walk from a BTS station.

No response yet. Let's hope for the best. What I found strange is that two of my follow up emails didn't evoke any response. I mean it can't be that much work to say that it's "under process". May be everyone is in holiday mood already.
