I would like to be somewhere by the Naga World Hotel area (Koh Pich/Aeon mall) in a safe place to live.

It can be a hotel room, studio, apt. (and a pool & gym)  is a plus....and for the money per month $300 to $400

I will be working at Naga next month by the 14th Aug, so if anyone has anything let me know.....Thank You!

At that budget you will not get amenities like a pool or gym, nor a hotel room, in that area but you can certainly get a small furnished apartment. (Studios are rare, more likely a one bedroom).

There are many websites for apartment listings in Phnom Penh, ones I have used in the past are:

https://www.khmer24.com/c-apartment-for-rent.html

http://www.expat.com/en/housing/asia/cambodia/phnom-penh/flats-for-rent.html

Most of these listings are by agents and what happens is once they have shown you one and get a sense of what you want, they'll come up with others.

I keep hearing about bkk 1,2,3...but I need something close by to my work at Naga. 10 to 15 mins away would be okay.

10-15 minutes doesn't buy you much. What time is your work shift? 10-15 minutes during the morning commute basically means within walking distance. If you are willing to commute 45 minutes to an hour your options open up considerably.

If you work off hours, then you could possibly go further afield.

Most things in BKK1 will probably be within 15 minutes of Naga World. Unfortunately, that is also the most expensive area of Phnom Penh.

I see a lot of nice apt's in the Russian market area, now how far is it to Naga...and going to work at 6pm to 7pm.

Far and with traffic at that time of day, an hour each way. I would forget that area if working at Naga.

There are a lot of apartments to rent in your price range on side streets off st 19 right behind the royal palace and that would be within 15 min or so of Naga. I stayed there for 3 months last year in a 1 bedroom fot $300/mo plus utilities. Furnishings are basic but meet minimal needs. Be aware that landlords gouge on electricity charges...I was paying $100 a month average despite being at work all day. So whatever your rent allow for up to $150 a month more in utilities.

P.S. if you can go a little higher there was a place on St 282 just west of Norodom opposite Wat Lanka with very well appointed service apt for $500 a month. Don't know if still available.

Is this the bkk 1 area?
