WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump spoke with Saudi King Salman on Wednesday and urged "all the parties in the Qatar dispute" to find a diplomatic resolution to end a crisis that has embroiled several Gulf countries, the White House said in a statement.

Saudi Arabia, along with Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, have cut political and trade ties with Qatar since June because they say Doha supports regional foe Iran and Islamists.

So, can we soon expect a new "Tower" in Qatar with a familiar name to it?

Did someone get a permit to build?

That's actually plausible since they only have one golf course. The sad thing is that would be more of a motivator for Trump to intervine.

Since the embargo, Qatar has opened up to qualifying elites to not only invest but also receive permanent residency.

Unlike Saudi, it could actually be a decent place (6 months of the year) to hang out. One of the factors in this whole dispute to begin with, Qatar was developing too fast.

I think Donald has finally realized that he has an important base in Qatar , 15,000 troops or whatever and maybe he shouldn't really have started this mess in the first place  .

I don't know if it's fair to blame him for starting the mess. The Saudis et alii were certainly encouraged by his reaction to the kind of reception that only a dictatorship can reliably muster. But he certainly helped to make it worse.

He's new to the job and maybe he didn't realize  those fireside chats over a Perrier water with the  Sheik

would   actually be -   actioned -  the next day  -   with fire and fury .

Seems the Qatari's needed a  bit of a shake down so maybe he's accomplished something "foreign'   to make up for the domestic stuff .

Yes, they are now enjoying vastly improved relations with Iran and Turkey. Go Trump!
