  1. Hi I can open the Thai version of the website but if I select English then the page won't load and it gets stuck in a loop. https://www.lionairthai.com/en/ I've tried Firefox, Edge and Chrome. Just edited with the en URL.
  2. I added 40ml of STP cleaner to a full tank and over 9 days later only had it not start on the first attempt once and that was on day 4.
  3. There used to be a HiFi/Audio shop in Kad Suan Kaew 2nd or 3rd floor towards the back, I think it was called Kaew Audio. The owner used to make speakers. Does anyone know where/if he moved somewhere or has a contact number?
  4. For the UK, Starling Bank is the best along with the Halifax Clarity credit card which is fee free but for cash advances you need to make the payment the same day to avoid interest charges.
  5. https://www.itnews.asia/news/thailand-freezes-678-bank-accounts-in-action-against-online-scams-602120 A Thai friend of mine booked a hotel from Facebook page that was fake, the Facebook page not the hotel. I hear from Thai friends that phishing calls and online scams are common. Maybe it's because people are not as sensible as they should be when buying things online. I hear lots of people buy things from social media rather than recognized online shopping sites that process the payments on behalf of the vendors with the option to cancel and be refunded. I rememer years back before Lazada/Shopee I often had to make transfer to compaines in Bangkok, never particlarly large amounts but always had to trust that the website was genuine. I think now I would be much more careful. I bought something from Shopee two days ago and decided to pay with QR code because I had set my bank account debit card limit too low. After purchase I messaged the seller who said the item wasn't in stock and would take 7-10 days which I decided could mean anything so decided to cancel. For card refunds they are just refunded directly to the card used but for the QR code payment I had to add my KBank account details to Shopee. Happily to refund was processed straight away and I received the money back later that day.
  6. Nice menu. Wish Chang and Singha has such an extensive range. https://www.caltex.com/th/motorists/products-and-services/fuel-prices.html
  7. Sorry guys, I wasn't clear in my post. It starts 95% of the time and only occasionally takes half a dozen tries with a little pause in between attempts sometimes.
  8. I took my Z250SL to my old mechanic and he suggested the starting problems, turns over, red oil light comes on, doesn't take could/is dirty injector and suggested I buy some cleaner. I am thinking of buying this STP injector cleaner. Is this a reasonable first action?
  9. Anyone know if I can buy this in Chiang Mai before Shopee gets my business? https://www.stp.com/uk/product/petrol-injector-cleaner/
  10. I just got back to Chiang Mai in time for the last two weekends of Premier League action, subscribed to TrueID and still can't work out how to navigate the TrueID app. Sometimes the back button my my remote wants to exit, sometimes it take you back to the previous screen. There used to be a section for Premier League but now I can't find it. Anyone got any tips? I am using a Mecool Android box that come with the app pre-installed.
  11. Red electronic waste bin on the 3rd floor in Airport Plaza.
  12. Found a couple of articles: https://www.bangkokpost.com/life/tech/2595249/true-launches-e-waste-recycling-programme https://thebeat.asia/bangkok/terra/environment/e-waste-in-thailand-how-to-dispose-your-used-electronics The link in TheBeat doesn't work. https://www.earththailand.org/en/
  13. Thanks for the information. A little off the original topic but for registering myself to be able to notify the following documents are required: Attached file Document 1. Business license or signed copy business registration confirmation 2. Letter of authorization to conduct the registration 3. Copy of ID card of person giving authorization person I am assuming my chanote tee din and ta bien baan and passport will do. I ask last time I did my TM30 at CM immigration but didn't feel like I got an clear answer.
  14. I just registered here tm30.immigration.go.th but didn't have a scan of my title deeds or blue book (not official) so will get those today and send them off. Let's see what happens. Will be good for the future anyway as a friend is planning to stay here when I am not at some point this year.
  15. A Thai friend suggested that somehow it is back dated to the arrival date in Thailand. My hypothetical question was what if you were to come on a camping trip in some of the national parks that allow camping. Would the "campsite" be doing it? I assume some people come and stay in a homestay kind of place and don't get registered and then move to a hotel or bigger guest where they do get registered.
