  1. It seems as though the homestay license is run by the tourist board. You need to of been operating for at least 6 months before applying. This is not looking mandatory.
  2. Is the homestay license mandatory all over Thailand? Has there been any convictions for not having the license ? Nobody seems to of heard of it in our area . Thank you for making the homestay license known to use.
  3. I believe that Airbnb short term rentals are legal However in some condos they are not allowed. That has nothing to do with what the original post was about.
  4. It appears that the hotel registration law has changed in 2023. Excemption from requiring a hotel license has increased to eight rooms and 30 guests
  5. There was only one Englishman owning the premises with the alledged bad beer. The second individual was the owners wife who is Thai. Therefore your post should read , make the Englishman an offer and buy the joint.
  6. 800 baht a month many Thai pensioners live on.
  7. I find them interesting how they park there cars and leave there engine running lights full on while they order food to takeaway in a restuarant just a few meters away from where many are seated eating there food. I also find them interesting when i want to pay my electric bill at Lotus where I have shopped for many years and told you can not as you have no Thai ID . Oh but i have paid my electric bill here for years , can not says the shopkeeper.
  8. If you can smell an odour from beer don't drink it. I bought a bottle of Chang one time and complained that the beer was off. Reply given from the server was no refund and also I don't drink beer myself to know if it was bad or not.
