  1. Have you ever considered the possibility that you might have a mental illness?
  2. Just finished Ballard. The first few episodes were a little rough and I wasn't sure if Maggie Q was right for the part but eventually it drew me in. It has the same narrative structure and atmosphere as Bosch (and Titus Welliver has a small but vital role) and gets a little maudlin in parts but well worth watching in my opinion.
  3. Out of curiosity, how much work and money did you have to put into refurbishing your properties before you sold them? And do you think your units had a competitive advantage over other units in your buildings? I have seen many foreigners come over here and buy condos because they seem cheap, then put them in the hands of an agent to rent out and manage. Generally, the results haven't been great.
  4. What's the location? I was also looking recently and the agents were mostly recommending 30-35 sqm boxes for low 20's up to 30,000. The older buildings have more space and lower prices but even so a 1 bedroom of 50 or 60 sqm would be 20,000 minimum and usually more. And they're hard to find because you have to do the legwork yourself. I wanted to be close to a park. Most of the land around Lumpini has been taken up extravagant condo projects going for ridiculous prices and even the older buildings in the Rajadamri and Chitlom-Ploenchit areas have been or are in the process of being torn down to throw up more overpriced shoeboxes. (But they have great facilities!) I certainly didn't find any 7 million baht condos going for 15,000 a month.
  5. I thought it was wildly overpraised but still okay. It started off strong but then turned into a ridiculous zombie movie.
  6. Good choice, I watched the whole thing and regretted it. Just a millenial mess.
  7. Both criticisms are valid but compared to the rest of the junk available, it's at least watchable.
  8. I suggest you watch this if you truly want to understand what a lying moron RFK Jr is:
  9. I don't see any advantage in doing that, especially since there have been rumors of people having trouble getting retirement visas in country lately. Integrity Legal had a video on this.
  10. You can however put the 800,000 in now and use it for the 2027 extension. For next year you will have to use an agent again but that 800,000 will still be helpful as you will not need to use agent funds.
  11. I don't see why not. It the system functions as it's supposed to, it should be a lot easier and more efficient than the mail in process.
  12. The US has launched an online passport renewal system. It's currently in beta, so access is limited. Of course you have you have to be in the US but everything can be done online including uploading a photo from your smartphone. Payment can also be done by ach
  13. Not to mention that it makes banking much easier when you travel
  14. Being overcharged for medical services isn't peculiar to foreigners. Thais get ripped off too. I knew a woman whose dog bit her at home, just nipped her really but enough to draw blood. At the hospital, they insisted she have the full treatment: full series of rabies shots, antibiotics, bandaging, etc. And the elderly in Thailand are the favorite target of scammers just as they are everywhere. I think your problem may be more with modern society rather than anything personal.
  15. The movie ione of my all time favorites
