  1. Same here…. Life Time Membership - can be transferred to 30 years… Similar price to the Op PM if interested. Reason for sale: can use a marriage visa & stopped playing golf… Airport trx is incredibly convenient though.
  2. No - I mean moved to another forum... <URL Automatically Removed> I think he mentioned.
  3. No she didn't.... She charged 200 baht on top of the re-entry fee for providing the service of taking the photo and filling out the form. This is the norm at the airport, which is the most convenient place to obtain the re-entry permit for the vast majority of people except those who are perhaps concerned they'd forget. Additionally - It'll likely cost more than 200 baht to go to Immigration and then there's the additional time it takes to go to immigration in the first place - is your time is worth less than 200 baht ????
  4. I don't know how people are seeing it this way - for the very brief interval the motorcyclist is in frame, it appears to be travelling at a similar speed to the three-wheeler and other motorcycle that passed before it. How to calculate the speed with any accuracy from such a short interval (needs software ?) - the motorcycle remains in frame for 0:07 second mark. This falls on the assumption that the motorcyclist was speeding - I think its too difficult to know that. I'd agree that the motorcyclist could have been more defensive and hit the brakes earlier as soon as the car initiates the turn which could have prevented impact. But, I don't think blame should be shared at all - this looks to be 100% the car drivers fault for turning into oncoming traffic.
  5. I'm not sure - but the linked thread is from 2017. I remember him quitting this forum and moved to another.... If he has passed away - RIP
  6. A lot of people suggesting the motorcyclist is speeding... It doesn't seem so from the video, the motorcycle seems to be travelling at the same speed as the motorcycles which passed at the beginning of the video. The motorcyclist may 'appear' as if it was being ridden too quickly because of the accident but I don't think it was. The car driver 100% at fault, turned across traffic without indication when the road wasn't clear. The behavior not to check on the injured motorcyclist is quite despicable.
  7. The requirement for a license for these 'mobility-vehicles' is a grey area in Thailand... A lot of the discussion is covered in this thread - the first hand information provided (by Colinneil) is that the head of the DLT in his area advised him that as a '3 wheeled electric mobility-trike' is a disability aid, no registration or license is required. Other information suggests that if the power is greater than 500w the vehicle requires a license. Of course - with all the samlors, food-cards, push-carts etc on the roads these 'mobility-vehicles' clearly fit into that same 'grey area category' until there is an incident - but it seems a license and registration is not a requirement.
  8. The police were just winging it and got that one wrong - she didn't have right of way when attempting to 'undertake' you on the left hand side.
  9. 'Gate checked'... when there is no more room in the overhead bins, some passengers are then forced to put their luggage in the hold.
  10. I see this primarily as the airlines fault when charging extra for luggage. With so many people taking their large carry-on luggage, the security lines become ridiculous, this is particularly bad in at the security screening in the UK, particularly in the summer when so many people are off on a cheap holiday and trying to avoid check-in baggage fees. The additional issue is when boarding by row and you are near the front, but someone at the rear of the plane who'd boarded earlier places their carry on in the overhead bin above your seat - then the flight attendants ask that you 'gate-check' your baggage (which valuables). IF airlines didn't charge extra for check-in baggage - the issue would be greatly reduced.
  11. Going by Ralf's account he's had multiple incidents at the same intersection, which highlights how stupid he is to have the same incident over and over again.... But, as he has pointed out the Police sided with him... ... Now, he's shown his true colours, so it wouldn't surprise me to learn that he's lied about all of this.... BUT, on the off-chance that he is hasn't lied it indicates the Police may well decide the SUV was not at fault - I doubt that though, fault is clearly shown in the video - the trike was already in the junction before the SUV reached it... It will be interesting to see the outcome of this - the issue of course is that we never have any follow up to these stories.
  12. Whether or not the mobility-trike is ripe legal is irrelevant… … but, FYI this model (posted earlier is 500w - & they don’t need to be licensed for the road at 500w & less). Thats a moot point & a diversion from the issue that the SUV didn’t give way at that junction when the crossing traffic has right of way. The SUV driver could just as easily have wiped out a motorcyclist & would still be at fault.
  13. So much for the Hippocratic oath…. Hypocritical oath at this hospital perhaps…
  14. Only in your world where you fail to comprehend right of way. SAFETY FIRST has already identified that the SUV did not have right of way at that junction - you’re too looked into your stance that you fail to recognise this.
  15. That cyclists was a dumb twit & I also agree that the Swiss guy was reckless (I’ve said that all along)… But, the SUV driver is at fault - nothing changes that no matter how the road is driven by others.
