  1. ICU is not that expensive. Perhaps your friend is not being honest about the daily ICU charges. Or is he on Chemo while in ICU is the only reason I can think of the price being that high.

2 nights in ICU at Samitivej in Bangkok which is not exactly a cheap hospital, Bill 48K for 2 nights.

Lessons to be taken away that BUPA insurance policy is not really too expensive....

  2. Has anyone seen a professional behaviour type therapist for a toddler in BKK - if such thing even exists.

We are having immense problems with our 3.5 year old at nursery with biting, tantrums and disrupting the other kids. The school has requested a meeting with us.

Our kid seems smart and switched on but this behaviour is getting out of control and we do not know why it has started like this and what to do about it. All advice welcome.

  3. Did they read my last 2 passenger surveys in J?....

Nothing to do with their product and pricing level for that particular product of course....

    Idiots.

Air Asia business class fare to Australia, 35,000, Thai Airways 80,000. Difference, minimal other than brief stop in KL

Actually there is a tremendous difference...can't really compare Budget to legacy carrier.

However Qatar to UK 110,000THB, TG 180,0000THB... TG J class or QR. Let me think for 30 secs

  4. I personally feel although not a doctor and I only speak from going down the path of chemo and surgery for late stage cancer with my spouse, I would not put them through it again nor if I got late stage would i put myself through it the surgery path and further chemo if required will not extend or improve quality of life substantially for late stage spread cancer.

Should your spouse lose the battle do not leave yourself in financial ruin as that is that last thing both of you would want.

    Good luck.

  5. Hi.

Sorry to hear about your spouse. You probably do not want to hear this but...

Give some serious thought to whether surgery / chemo / radio is the way to go. In the big picture it is Stage IV cancer and I am sure you aware of the prognosis.

I would give some serious thought to switching to palliative pain control and enjoy your time together, as hard as it sounds.

I am speaking from experience here having lost a spouse to stage 3 cancer.

I know you want to hold onto every hope for every treatment however think about the pain and suffering the treatment causes (Expense should also be considered) At some point you just have to say enough and as i said above enjoy the time together.

Best wishes and hope you both make the right choice.

  6. Home network with 2 desktops a QNAP 459 NAS server, WD NAS 2 printers scanner and a fax hooked up to a computer. Loads of professional use with tax programs accounting programs and of course spreadsheets. Got 3 screens hooked up to 1 desktop and 2 to an other. Also around 10 tb in usb drives hooked up to the NAS or to the router / some for backup others for sharing.

I would say that is a bit different as an average user.

Sounds like a complete IT mess to me.... Your workflow must be hell with the way that is all setup.

  7. Doesn't matter how much money you send or how long term she' thinks you are. If your not around when she wants some she will go get it elsewhere and you will be none the wiser. You know it really wasn't her brother who came to stay for a week......

When she goes to visit her grandma, very few Grandmothers stay at Hard Rock Pattaya for the weekend...
