Coincidentally, I had a short trip to Vietnam just after I received the log-on details so I did it within 48 hours of arrival!

I'm in Bangkok.

I "signed up", got a password and registered myself living in my own condo.

I've printed the report as evidence but beyond that I now nothing more.

I'm not due to do my retirement extension till Dec so I guess I'll find out at CW then if it's okay!

The Pending relates to my application for a username and password; not the status of my TM30

I "applied" on line last week.

I live in BKK (so have retirement extension at CW), own my own condo and am doing it purely to register myself living in my own condo.

The form is quite simple and I got a request to confirm my email address almost immediately.

The status of my request is now "pending".

Hopefully it will be approved soon.

Do I need to submit a TM30 as the owner to advise Immigration that I live there?

It desperately needs renovation; it might be an open space in a busy city but it looks poor and broken.

The difference between Benjakitti is stark; so much nicer.

The deafening music is always an issue too; I hope Mr Prayuth had his ear plugs in?

What about the other roads in Bangkok where motorbikes use the pavement like their own personal highway; Silom being one example. Spread out and earn more money!!??

Ever since they stopped the street vendors selling on the footpath it's far easier and faster to drive your bike on the pavement!

Why do this? Can you just not wait till you next renew your extension?

Maybe there should be an option to vote for "changing to marriage visa". I think a lot of us, who are married, chose to go down the retirement route for ease; this may now change and we opt for the marriage route with less onerous financial obligations?

Doesn't it just fill up your passport?

Everyone talks about cars and burning fields but when you live by the river you see every long tail boat and dinner boat belching black smoke adding greatly to the pollution.

- what is acceptable as "Proof of Residence"? My wife is still on her Blue Book at her home.

- Is a Kor Ror 2 required for Thai marriages? Is the Thai wedding certificate acceptable?

Is there a procedure to change from Retirement to Marriage or do you just change the reason when your extension is due for renewal?

If you're not happy to keep money in the bank then please feel free to PM me and I'll give you my bank account details. I'm very happy to have the money in my bank and it still be there in 10-20 years time so I can enjoy my retirement. Handing B1m to the Govt for a Elite visa is the biggest waste of money I can think of!

I don't see anything wrong? Just a normal day with normal driving in the LoS.

Like everything else; enforce the rules that are already in place.

1) Stop the lorries, motorbikes and pickups which are belching smoke.

2) Stop the people who are burning the fields.

Although this won't cure the problem it will surely make a big dent in it.

Just a shame that you have to go Department of Land Transport offices to apply for one; doesn't that rather defeat the objective short term?

Maybe an on-line application would be a good idea?

The present system (after the various rabies cases), of shipping dogs away seems, in my opinion, to be working.

It's just a list of the ins and out over the 3 months period. Start at B1m (or thereabouts) and goes down as I use money, but not below B800k.

It was just one page, on K Bank headed paper, signed and stamped by the bank. The lady who looked after me at Kasikorn suggested it was now normal for them to attach this to the letter???
