My understanding is (if you're left the UK and return), that you have to be resident in the UK for 6 months before you become re-eligible for the free NHS.
Although in practice I doubt the systems are linked and you'd probably get the free service!

We are within 5 mins of the BTS, next to the river, have swimming pool, gym etc and you can buy around B60,000 per Sq.M

HomePro now sell the Universal sockets that you can wire directly in to you wall (similar to the one Talisman shows). They have Clipsal (Malaysia) and a German brand (which I forget)
These can take UK, USA, Thai etc plugs ......... I've put a few in select places in our house.
They are only just over B100 per socket.

We're about to take the condo back to bare walls, ceiling and floor; needs some dismantling first!
Just wondered if anyone was bold enough to recommend a company in BKK to do the job - dismantle, plan, build etc .......
Thanks in advance.

I personally wouldn't get excited about the speed. It's whether it works satisfactorily or not.
I have 2 SIM's and a multi-frequency dongle that will get either True or AIS 3G. I never get above 1MB, according to the speed indicator on the software, but I can run a VPN experience the same graphics/speed as on a 10Mb fixed line in BKK so ...................

I am near Sikhio Korat and have the basic 590 package - 7Mb down 7Mb up.
We are about 3km from the base station and when it was first installed 18 months ago I said it was the best Internet I'd ever had (even better that cable in UK)!
But.......... Airnet then oversold in the area and the contention was too great and the speed went down and I was only getting 1Mb :-(
Despite many complaints they did nothing. However, after another frustrating day I complained again ..... they sent out two engineers who told me they'd upgraded so contention wasn't an issue any more. The replaced my receiver, extended the pole (now 7m high!) and I'm back to 7M/7M and all seems good.
Ping times to BBC.co.uk are 270ms and it works excellently for a VPN to the UK.
Hope that helps.

If you do it at the airport they will take your photo for you, fill in the form and copy the relevant pages.
1,200 for single re-entry and takes about 10 mins :-)
Just make sure you go up the middles departure stairs or you don't get to the correct desk!

Used to be; nothing wrong with them, just needed the money so closed the account.
They have very good history, just haven't been a commercial bank until recently

If Google tells the truth;
Obama got 51% of a 58% turnout
Cameron got 47% of a 65% turnout.
Taking the logic above neither got a majority of the population and I hardly ever happens in an election.
That's what democracy's about ........ you don't count the people who can't be bothered to vote.
Respect the right to vote and the outcome of the people's vote - that's democracy.

XP won't stop working it just won't have any updates, security patches etc. from Microsoft.
Unless it's a work critical piece of equipment of you store highly sensitive information I suggest you keep using it and don't worry.

Wife's just had a call from her mother saying there's a photo arrived in the post of our car doing 129Km/hr on Sirat expressway ........ well yes, that would be me!
Even thought the speed limit is apparently 80 Km/hr they only prosecute above 120 Km/hr?!
So, we're about to go away and even though the mother-in-law's posted the document to us it won't arrive in time; does any one know if there's a time limit for paying the fine.
By the way, for those used to paying the B100 direct to the policemen, the fine from a camera is a fixed penalty of B1,000. Ouch!

If you've spilled liquid on it then you must have a new keyboard. Buying one on eBay is easy and there's usually a fitting video on YouTube you can easily follow.
If you try to remove the keys you will almost certainly break one/some.
Removing the battery and unscrewing the retaining screws etc will not cause you to lose any data
If it's dust, fluff and general rubbish under the keys then the best thing is compressed air; take it to the garage and use the tyre air to gently blow under the keys.

Are we being called idiots or am I missing something?

My wife has the Oppo and is very nice although I've noticed the operating system is falling behind already?
I have a Nexus and think it's fantastic and would definitely recommend it :-)

Why don't we have a democratic election and respect the outcome?
For anyone to suggest we pick an unelected name they are proposing a dictatorship.
Thailand is now politically behind Burma and moving to a similar governance as North Korea and China.

if you rent your property that was your main house then instead of 36 months "free" of CGT it's being cut to 18 months from April 2014.
If you have an income from the property I believe you will be liable for UK tax and CGT.

I did mine in Korat last week - expiring 31/12.
No problem - apart from a queue of students in front of me!
90 Day is then 90 days after day you were present so you lose some days :-(

DDProperty.com is one of the biggest internet property agents and well worth a try.

Bangkok Condo investment

I personally think more cheaper condo's give a better investment.
You can buy good 45/50 SqM condo's for B2-2.5M and get B15k per month return (7%). Of course the "market" for B15k per month is far greater than that paying B100k per month and hence less likely to have empty property.
