was wondering if this was possible if employment was found ,,,thanks

Going to Thailand mid July to take 1 month Celta course during august, then find English teaching job ,,,by November.
Optiion 1: can get free 60 day 2 entry tourist visa ( evidently on may 11 they will be free), leave country after 2 months and come back, have 2 more months- probably enough time to get job (which will supply me with visa and work permit).
Option 2: get $65 3 month 1 entry type ED visa , will most likely have to leave country to get 3 more months before finding employment and pay for re entry permit also - but will have a total of 6 months instead of 4 with the tourist visa.
Option 3 : get multiple entry 1 year type ED visa for $175. wont have to worry about leaving the country to "renew" but will have "wasted" time on it - and money when ( hopefully) i find employment and get new type of visa to secure work permit.
Yep i know , a bit confusing. Any advice or help greatly appreciated ....thanks

Just write "multiple". The form is multi-purpose and the question really relates to tourist visas. A multiple entry Non-Immigrant visa is just that -- multiple entries.
thank you for your responses. Can a one year multiple entry non immigrant "ED" visa be transfered or changed to a type "B" visa if employment is procured? In order to then get a work permit without "wasting" the time left on the original visa considering they cost $175 US dollars?

On the form for the visa it asks how many entries. Can you just write " multiple" or do you have to specify, for example "x2". Can you request 3 or more entries? thanks

hello, Is there a "best" time of year to get a english teaching job in Thailand? I've read April would be the most opportune time (before the may semester starts). I don't think I will be able to make it there in time and was thinking about coming in late September early October (before the start of the November semester). Would this be a good time to job search? Appreciate the help/ advice. thanks

Denial Of Visa : No Refund Of Visa Fee?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

was wondering if anyone has ever experienced the denial of visa and withholding and non refund of visa fee. It states on the form tthat they dont have to refund the fee. that would REALLY suck for the $175 one year visa.
