Interesting how Biden and dems seem to live rent free in peoples minds. I never mentioned them or even gave them a thought when I posted my comment. -
Dems are jumping ship, Going Going Left…
WorriedNoodle replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
This week, US courts ruled against Donald Trump's use of emergency powers to impose tariffs, and Russia responded to his pleas for a Ukrainian ceasefire and peace talks by launching missiles and drones on Ukrainian cities. Trump's popularity is taking a hit, with polls tumbling and the economy contracting in the first quarter. The jobs market remains robust, but consumers are avoiding major purchases due to financial uncertainty. The S&P 500, a broad index of US stocks, was down 14% last month, and inflation is still above the 2% target. Elon Musk, who promised to cut spending by $2trillion a year during the election campaign, has made no significant difference to the deficit. Trump has promised America a new golden age, but so far, it's only his family that are enriching themselves. -

Source of reasonable Ivermectin drug?
WorriedNoodle replied to Longlivedixie's topic in Health and Medicine
Assuming this isn't a wind up thread, that’s really concerning! I understand that cancer treatments can be expensive and difficult to access, but Ivermectin isn’t the answer. It’s not a treatment for cancer, its used to treat parasitic infections in both humans and animals, and taking it for something else could actually be more dangerous than not doing so. It can cause serious side effects, especially if taken in high doses or for an extended period of time. -

Trump ambushes South African president at White House meeting
WorriedNoodle replied to bannork's topic in Political Soapbox
Trump literally said as he ambushed the South African president the "white crosses are burial sites of thousands of white farmers". So you read his comments with different words? How does one do that if not existing is some parallel universe of reality? A recent news verification of those "thousands of white farmer burial sites" that the POTUS referred to, found out they were a former temporary memorial display to honor two farmers who had been killed there. -

And you fell for the lies and exaggerated rhetoric hook line and sinker? You know the difference between graves and temporary memorial crosses on the P39-1 stretch of highway in that video mash up, much like you know that MS-13 photo wasn't photoshopped yeah? Looks like they got you where they want you. -

Biden’s Cognitive Struggles Resurface Amid Leaked Interview Audio
WorriedNoodle replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The timing of the Biden-Hur tape release, highlighting Biden's cognitive struggles, seems less about questioning past leadership and more about political strategy for 2028. The current administration may be leveraging these tapes to shift focus from their own challenges, using Biden's decline to rally their base or discredit Democratic prospects, with posts on X suggesting it’s a calculated move to shape voter perceptions ahead of the next election cycle. It’s classic gutter politics—using Biden’s cognitive decline as a cheap shot to score points for 2028, less about truth and more about manipulating voter sentiment. Something the right excel at of late. -
How do you know he isn't focused on Canada? He was simply answering a question asked that wasn't about Canada and answered it in a diplomatic way, something his neighboring nemesis could learn from.

Many would view Trump’s remarks as distasteful and disrespectful, particularly given the context. Mocking the commemorations of V-E Day, which honors the sacrifice and cooperation of Allied nations in defeating Nazi Germany, can be deeply offensive to countries like France, which suffered heavy civilian and military losses, endured Nazi occupation, and played a role in the resistance. Downplaying their experience or mocking their pride in liberation is likely to strike a nerve, especially in Europe, where the scars of WWII remain very present in public memory. Also, imitating a foreign leader's accent—even jokingly—tends to be seen as undiplomatic and culturally insensitive, especially for someone who has held the office of President of the United States. More broadly, Trump’s tone—sarcastic, dismissive, and self-congratulatory—undermines the spirit of unity that defined the Allied efforts in WWII. While it's true that the U.S. played a decisive role, the war was won through the collective sacrifice of multiple nations. Presidents and leaders are typically expected to honor that shared history with respect and humility. Many observers—especially veterans, historians, and international partners—would find these comments inappropriate, if not offensive.

American Exceptionalism: My Bloody Sphincter!

I see it more as a blend of satire, harsh criticism, and biting wit. Where is there any hate in this? The author uses exaggerated imagery and caricature to drive home their point that America has gone from the king of the hill to the punchline in the room.- 56 replies
