Mrs Norcan has just been telling me about the people from her (up North) village that made the trip to the big city dressed in red to make their stance for democracy.
Oddly enough, the exact same folk were also protesting in town last year...but dressed in yellow instead.
That in itself speaks volumes for this shambles.

Can anyone called "Thurdsak" be taken seriously.
I now have a new favorite Thai name, replacing "Supaporn"
Off topic (sorry) but we deal with a guy for business reasons here called....Tosspot! I kid you not!

Hi Guys,
I have to make a speech next weekend at the wedding of my joint managing director. I have been given the status of "Principle" for the wedding (her term) and as such am expected to say the right things.
I have known her 5 years and she is marrying an English guy who will have about 40 friends and family there.
I am not bothered about keeping the Brits happy with my speech, I am more concerned I say the right things about my staff member (who is also my best friend!).
Anybody out there had to do the same thing? Any tips on what I need to say? I want to make her feel special on her day but also need to keep it within the realms of Thai tradition.
Any and all help gratefully accepted.
Thanks in advance.

I am proud to be Welsh, but unfortunately that's where the similarity between me and Tom ends.
