Is the Bahamian govt doing anything yet? The only military assistance I have seen in any of the hundreds of news videos is that of the US coast guard, US border patrol helicopters, and a British warship. The US marines have been on alert for 3 days, 3 ships loaded up and ready to go with equipment and supplies, if the Bahamian Govt sends a request.

Not one piece of heavy equipment clearing roads, no trucks delivering supplies. What are they waiting for?

Inanimate objects do not kill people. Sick (mental), unhappy people kill people, with the most convenient tool available. Banning knives, all motor vehicles, or guns will not stop mass killings. The only thing that will stop it is societal and cultural changes, and of course identifying those that are suffer mental issues early before they snap.

Even the last hangers on of (extreme Trump haters) have lost all hope of impeachment, and most definitely their democrat hero's. Most likely looking up the nearest NRC/GOP office to volunteer.

Everybody says legalize is a great thing, now. It will be several years or longer, but with the ever increasing potency will come serious social and development issues. Pot has went from about 4% THC in the 90's to over 40% and up to 80% today. Pot is addictive and is a gateway drug now. If you are a pot smoker before your brain is mature, 18 to 20, good chance you are going to be stupid and lazy and likely fall into some sort of drug dependency. Mature adults are pretty worthless after smoking as well.

Good bet 10 years from now states will start repealing this and of course it will take another 20 years to get it all sorted out.
