The much maligned Steve 'Stevie' big nose Bruce did better!
Besides Rafa getting them promoted to the top tier I think the difference is negligible. That said Bruce came in to a much tougher gig considering his own Manc & Mackem history and having to follow Rafa .

Some nasty rumours being spread on #twatter about Sigurdsson..........still, he is innocent until proven Gylfi! ????......sorry!
If these rumours turn out to be false, that is some next level horrendous mongering

Comes down to results. If he starts winning games he will bring the fanbase around.
He did well at Newcastle with no investment. He knows how to work with what he has. He knows how to get a team organised and tight. He has some decent fire power at The Ev, Brazil's striker up front.

So Rafa takes over the Trickies. Next season could be interesting. They have an easy start but that could be a double-edged sword. If things don't go well early doors, their 'fans' will soon turn on him!
I'm not offended by this appointment, and I think he will do well for them.

Not a spurs fan but thought they deserved the win and don't think you ll finish top at the end of the season.
Why do you think they deserved the win?

To the melt that complained about my team name on FF, I've had it for years and no issue, it's hardly offensive.
Anyway, I've renamed my team in your honour.

So why can't I say he turned into a junkie/alkie after being a good footballer.
Ned Kelly was very good to and loved his mother. That doesn't mean he was a hero. Always two sides to everything.
I as often as I can watch UK football on tv but I don't hero worship. It's just entertainment.
Ned Kelly was and still is a hero to many..????????♂️.

I don’t think heroin or cocaine improved anyone’s performance, quite the opposite.I'm sure any heroin or cocaine user would argue that point....????

cheating IS a moral relatively
In the 70/80's I saw PLENTY. Of players fired up by.. amphetamine? seemed to be pretty acceptable att.. lynford Christie... Gained ?? X amount of seconds on his best. Almost Overnight.. in the 80's /90's the Brazilian ronaldo bulked up so much that he was musculariy unrecognisable..
Wenger introduced sugar soaked in liquid caffeine as half time topups
And today in the prem t I see trainers give players pills and sniffy things during the game in years I'm sure that'll be banned
. My point is it's easy to make moral judgements in retrospect.. not so clear or easy at the time. Irrespective of his issues .. he was one of THE all times great.. and should be remembered as such..NOT for his problems..
Can we throw in Alan Wells for the Scottish lads ????

But yeah, he was a better football player than I was
Footballers cheat every match, every week, across the globe. How you managed to make my post about you is puzzling. ????????♂️

TV bitterness is flowing as expected. Is it the fact he had more talent in his little toe nail than you all combined....
In '87 the man single-handedly took the equivalent of a modern day relegation battling Aston Villa to the title against a star studded Man City, and he did it while every defender in the league tried to kick 10 shades of <deleted> out of him.
As a true football fan you cannot deny the man was an absolute football genius.

Wow there boy, I was actually supporting you against 3minus2s usual biased unsupported rants.
Why does everyone think I'm angry ????. I was just stating why I didn't reference The Athletic originally and now I'm off for a spliff. ????????♂️

That article takes its lead from an article in Feb 2020 by The Athletic
Correct, but not everyone has access to The Athletic, hence my posting of an accessible article with Opta stats for reference.

I made it QUITE clear that it was an observation..and yet AGAIN your just reinforcing the absolute RIDICULOUS preciousness you and other Liverpool fans place on the team... As I pointed out to w... GET A GRIP..
3 minus 2, you made a statement that was incorrect. I don't know why you keep saying we need to "get a grip" or that we are blindly defending our team in the face of your incorrect observation.
Opta stats show that the top 2 teams for tactical fouling are City and Arsenal, interestingly Arteta being the prodigy of Pep. Liverpool are way down the list, with less than half that of City.
Here is an article which references FACTS.

What it does show tho is yet again how unbelievably precious Liverpool fans are about your team.. it's a game wilia that breeds disproportionate responces from people..bit like national ism. I've watched/talked and played footie in many different towns and cities Rio London,Newcastle. Liverpool. To name just a few and in quite a few countries and NEVER have I come ax a group of fans so disassociated with reality when it comes to critism of their teams as Liverpool fans ... Precious and deluded ...mate.. as I said b4 in the friendliest possible way get a grip..
.
You made a statement without facts, because there aren't any relating to your statement, because it is not a truism of how Liverpool play. Someone pulls you up on it and you go all Karen about it.

Yeah. Have to admit it's a bit embarrassing... But your mob are full on with the the niggly little shirt pulls and sly 'touch fouls'.. on and off the ball... THAT'S gettin a bit beyond a joke. Kloppy and pep have coached that into their 'team play' and honestly they're NEVER pulled up on it.. they should be..
That's City you are talking about...

Well I got more points not picking a team than I did when picking a team this week. Crying at Bamford being on the bench though 17 pissing points down the <deleted>ter
