NASCAR Race Cars run on 15 Inchers..Bit wider though, and they are slightly faster than a Ford Disasta. .
And your point is?
-
Comparing them we can make the following calculation.
16 inch with a 195/50 has a total diameter of the wheel and tyre combination 16x2,54 cm = 40,64 cm +2 x 9,75= 60,14 cm
Considering this is original size for the car with a 15 inch wheel you need.
15x2,54 cm =38,1 cm 60,14 - 38,1=22,01: 2 = 11,01 cm there is your ideal tyrewall height you need with a 15 inch wheel
Only it does not excist
Choosing a widness for the tyre of 195 cm again the 195/55 comes closest with 10,7 cm height ,personally I would choose a 60 serie
This will give a tyrewall height of 11,7 cm.
In percentage your speedometer will give a slightly lower rating of 98 procent of the original with 195/60
With 195/55 your rating on the speedometer wil be slightly higher 100,7 procent.of the original.
I don t believe in a differents for the fuel consumption for any of the combinations.
-
With 15 inch wheels they calculate the right diameter of the combination in every decent tyre and wheel centre easy for you.
If the car is really designed for 16 inch[because its a Ford Fiesta I don t believe in this] and higher only then the breakcaliper will not fit you need a space there between inside wheel and breakcaliper of 1 cm or more.
Its a matter of trying it out and messure the space.
If it don t fit you can always go for changing only the tyres wich is cheaper to

you either drive the local old car or no buy a motosai ...
yes import taxes up to 307% is crazy
and all in the name of self protection
free trade my *ss
Thai goverment made deals with a lot of other country s in the past the japanese are the ones to supply the 2 and 4 wheelers.
If you like them it s your advantage if you don t its not at al ,almost every bike and car from Germany new or old has only because of it s scarcity
a higher value.
I once could buy a some 2 old rusty german zundapps from the 50 tees no books or plates or reciept came with it only a lot of rust.
He problaby brought them in over land somewhere on a road without any bordercontrol.
Still asking 40 Kbaht a piece.
Thats the thing you create with this.
-
I have the same problem here they don t have higher then the series 8 while NGK also has 9 and 10 series for fast 2 stroke engines.
Solutions order online or ask a friend from other country to buy and send them.
-
I think they don t care your type of visa people who are here on an of on toerist visa s also are alowed to own a car if Im not mistaken.
As long as they are registrated on an address here.
-
Not joking, really, who is stupid enough to buy a second and car in Thailand ?
The only Thai I know selling them makes 200k/month because he never sells any car without cheating the meter and many other things...
Buying second hand here you simply have to ignore the km stand for al cars and bikes to older then a few years.
And get your info on the wear out of pedals ,steeringwheel ,the driverseat, sound and smoke from the engine and testdrive it aswell.
If these things don t fit you ,you should buy new or almost new.
-
I think you will need a proof of residence immigration letter from the last owner, stating he/her is selling the car..I had to get one of these recently when selling my second hand car.
Yep I think so to on his passport there is no address and they want both addresses former owner and the new one.
Specially when you do this in the transport office close or in Hua Hin they will not pursuit this for you
at the other office in Pattaya.
-
Maybe you were scammed when you filled up, keep your mind open to that - it does go on..
Yes good one this,I heard this to sometimes from other LPG drivers and one time had more liters to pay then fit in my tank
-
50 series of a 195 tyre means a hight of only 9,75 cm.
There is your comfort problem not the brand.
Maybe some of them have a lesser noise production then the other.
Change to 15 inch and you get a higher wall on the tyre.
Or change the hight from the tyres only , like a 195/55 or 60 serie
It means your speedometer will probably show you a slightly lower speed then the reality.
Your car come a very little higher to and the fuel use most of the time doesn t change with this.

Who buys a second hand BWM or Benz anyway ?
You visit an official retailed and give your 2 millions (if you are poor) andd get a brand new one.
Of if you cannot afford it just buy a Toyota truck like Somchai !
The money stream doesn t end with the buying after this you have the regular trip to the official BMW or Benz dealer.
They are like carmafia and designed to make money for the dealer afterwoods try to renew your own rear breakpads on the benz without the extra
tools you ll find out can t do this.
BMW has the reset system for after oilchange with a key or some secret on the dashboard.
Both of these factory s are far over the top with there behaviour.
Every error showing on your dash needs to be reset at a dealer to.
I say let them to the rich and long live Toyota they still rule.

My take is that the solenoid is leaking slightly. It needs to go in for a check and maybe a new solenoid. Very small leaks will be hard to detect.
>It can be anywhere they start most of the time with the sniffer at the fillingnossle/valve this is a potential leaker then the tank with al its
fittings then the fuelhose to the engine and last under the hood.
It can be done with some dishwasflued in water using a brush watching for small airbubles usually they use this after the sniffer to find the
exact location.
thanks for the input.
I'm trying to find a good (reliable) place here in Pattaya that will look at it. I've turned the valve off on the hose to the engine in case it is from that point onwards but no gas smell in the boot.
My guess is thats at the fueltank some where.
Al together I had maybe 3 leakages over 10 years of LPG use ,al in the back where the tank was.
Pressure on this is always there and go s up to when the sun shines.
While under the hood the fuelvalve relais shuts of the pressure .

I think not never seen the police check adresses on a computer when they check your license even on a big controlling action on the road its still handwork.
So unless you use it for ID or something anywhere at a official place I would let it on the old adress till it needs to be made new.
-
Toyota is known for this they just keep going on.

do you get any car like 2010 for 400 - 500k
and not some micro car?
2010?
You say up to 5 years this is possible for 400K.
that is a great choice, I always loved hilux cars, but how big is the consumption?
My sis in law has a 2008 2.5 diesel handgear Toyota hilux Vigo its only a extra cab but she runs 1 liter 14 km with it ,she bought it new for 560 K.

I was just checking 2002 BMW for 800 k
somebody must be crazy here, I mean, the old car like that for 800 000 bht?
THat is just insanity
In europe you get 2008 or 2009 BMW for that money.
My budget it like 300k for a decent car, do I get a decent car for this here or do I get a old rusty wagon?
Car prices in Thailand is not insane...
You should see Singapore's!
Exactly only some cars here are expensive like the germans and the sportcars but the prices of the decent japanese car
exept the lexus ofcourse are fine.

A small leakage will not always lead to an explosion.
I had them myself [lpg leakages] in the past and I m still here.
But safest thing is not to drive it anymore and if you have to, wait a few days
and then use the petrol to go to a lokal LPG installer.
Most of them have the sniffer.
A small leakage you don t smell a big one you can.
-
I think you need to go to the transport office close to the companie adres.
-
Nope you need to be registrated on an adress in Thailand and proof this with a householdregistration or via a companie where you work
here this registration has another name
-
Start with full info of this car I would say.
Like model, wich fuel ,non turbo or turbo, aut or handgears, these things are bitt of a gess now.
-
Amorn Solar likely have something suitable too, probably a bit cheaper than RS http://www.amornsolar.com/
Your kidding right? Their prices are in dollars and over the top!
do you need reading glasses? is this a Dollar sign? ฿

I have a new (2011) Toyota Vios with 5K kilometers on it, which has been
through both the 1K and 10K mileage checkups at the Toyota dealer with
no problems found. However, the engine is constantly 'pinging' (also
known as 'knocking', I believe), regardless of the fuel I use. I always
use at least grade 91 'benzene' (not gasohol), which is sometimes
marked as '91 Unleaded' at the pump. I took it to the dealership a
couple days ago and carefully explained the problem, but they
pooh-poohed it and said if there were any problems with the fuel/air
mixture (or anything else which could explain the pinging), there would
be a warning light on the driver's console. They ended up telling me to
get my fuel from either Shell or Esso, and to avoid the other fuel
stations. I then filled it up completely with '91 Unleaded' at the
nearest Shell station, and the pinging continues.
My mom in law has a 2008 Toyota Vios also an automatic and its does the same thing
you describe here .
Me and my gf took it with us on a holiday in 2008 with very low milage on it at that time
Nobody else heard anything but me as a trained car-mechanic heard it right away.
We used 95 petrol fuel only from several branches PTT ,Shell, and others it just stayed.
At this day she run over 300.000 km with it she drive al over the country for her job
So if its any comfort for you its still knocking but also still running ok.
No serious repairs so far concerning the engine.

Hi Roadrunner,
Thanks for the information, that's good to know. Out of curiosity, what is the fuel she normally uses? I'm wondering if she minimizes the pinging by using the more expensive 95 benzene, or does she just use 91 gasohol like everyone else?
She runs it 1 liter to 14 km and she puts in gasohol 91 now.
The 95 benzine was only when we drove it.
And its pinging with both the fuels.
